02 // BACKGROUND

From the Bench to the Brief

Ramiro da Rocha knows how projects get built because he learned in the workshop first — then in architecture school, and on London projects with architects, designers and joiners.

2001

Hands-on experience in upholstery, furniture making and joinery in the family workshop founded in 1942.

PORTO

Formal studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Porto, specialising in design.

2009

Practising design professionally, shaping residential and commercial spaces.

2011

Based in London, collaborating with Italian and English brands and joiners on diverse, challenging projects.

BAID

Continuous professional development with the British Academy of Interior Design.
